Veronica is a director, cinematographer and visual artist curious about the world. She prefers the outdoors.

Verónica has been working in the film industry for fifteen years as a DP and director. Educated at film school in Los Angeles, she has worked across six continents on documentaries, narratives, and commercials.

Her most recent documentary Caretaker was a personal story about her family, which went on to screen at over thirty film festivals including DocNYC and Beyond the Short. Her previous work has been officially selected by SXSW and exhibited at the Getty Museum.

She directs commercials and is represented by Minted Content in Los Angeles. Below are two, for Fender Guitars and Subaru.

She has served as a mentor of the AXS Film Fund's 2024 cohort. She has been a film fellow at BendFilm as well as selected for IDFAcademy and Interaction:Docs.

She is a documentary programmer at VBIFF, a community organizer at Video Consortium:LA, and her work has been supported by organizations such as Brown Girls Doc Mafia, TIFF, Film Independent, and the Indigenous Journalists Association.

She is also a photographer, working in fashion, lifestyle, and product. Examples of her work can be seen with Target’s launch of Native shampoo & conditioner. She has also photographed campaigns for fashion brands such as for Made in Earth and CoolJams.

Beyond her photo and video work, she is also a contributing journalist and COO at the nonprofit IndigenousNetwork, where she was awarded the 'Ethnic Media Service' award from California State in 2023 and runner up for the ‘Global Affairs’ award in 2024.

She is a current journalist fellow at the Jeff Bezos Earth Fund and recipient of the LMA Google News fellowship in 2025.

She loves animals and has been an pet-mom to dogs, cats, frogs, lizards, fish, rabbits, and chickens.
