Cinematography. Direction. Production. Journalism.

Passing stories to (and for) eachother is a way to bear witness and caretake the ethnosphere.

Verónica’s works are field notes of the human experience.  Enjoying many mediums of expression, she is first and foremost curious about the world’s fullness- the shadow and light. She hopes you too continue to stay curious about the wonders of everythingness.

Briefly about:

For fifteen years, Verónica has been working in the film industry. Educated at film school in Los Angeles, she is creator of the film production company, Light+Noise. Her recent documentary screened at over thirty film festivals including DocNYC. Her past work has been selected by SXSW and also displayed at the Getty Museum.

She also directs commercials and is represented by Minted Content in Los Angeles. She has been a film fellow at BendFilm:Basecamp as well as selected for IDFA Academy. She serves as documentary programmer at VBIFF, an organizer at Video Consortium:LA, and her work has been supported by organizations such as Brown Girls Doc Mafia, Film Independent, and the Native American Journalist Association. She also serves as a mentor of the AXS Film Fund's 2024 cohort.

Beyond her work in film, she is also a contributing journalist and board member at the nonprofit IndigenousNetwork, where she was awarded the 'Ethnic Media Service' award from California State. She is a current journalist fellow of the Jeff Bezos Earth Fund.
